Patti West ~ the Artist

Patti resides in Victoria, BC in close proximity to the forests, ocean, river and lakes that she loves and that inspire her creations. She paints a bit in watercolor but has honed her strongest skills in acrylics on canvas. She paints in vivid colors using high contrasts and textures to accentuate her subject.

She is passionate about relating to the spiritual presence of “place” endeavoring to capture a glimpse of the glory of creation and inviting the viewer to experience the touch of the spirit in each painting.

​

In recent years she has improved her skills by taking classed by excellent artists such as: Gaye Adams, Juve Furtado, Richard McDiarmid, and Keith Levang, and by experimenting and practicing new techniques.

 

She has been a longtime member of many artist groups on the South Island and Vancouver: The Federation of Canadian Artists, Arts and Culture Colwood, Saanich Peninsula Arts and Crafts Society, Fairfield Artist Studio Tour, and Art Sea Gallery.

 Her paintings are in collections across Canada, in the USA and in Ireland.
